I am new to cadence. i am working on simple full wave rectifier, the output with and without the capacitor remains the same.
I mean my capacitor is not working as it should have been .
I have taken the symbol from the ncsu 1.6 beta library .
Does any have a capacitor model? please post it here.

Dear Gautam,

Basic capacitor model already exits in Cadence. First include all Pspice libraries to your part list.

Select all libraries, When you type letter 'C'. Capacitor model with pspice symbol below will pop up.

Try it out.

With regards,

Ramsundhar Madhavan

I am basically working on spectre and i dont know what are you saying about pspice libraries? can you please elaborate for me
I even dont have analog Lib in my cadence library .
so i was using it from NCSU library.

How did you add NCSU library? Similarly Cadence will have some library called Analog. It will be in pspice folder in your cadence installation directory....May be in program files...

Add that library and use the capacitor from it.

See attached image...

sir
i am using cadence virtuoso , on that i am using a spectre as a simulation tool .

This is more likely a value or hookup problem. But you may
as well take the advice and try the simple generic cap element
out of analogLib. Just to eliminate any additional technology
dependencies.

I don't think this is a Cadence problem per se, but rather an
opportunity for you to develop some debug skills.
