USB connectors often force us to stop using the devices based on LPT and COM ports. Presented device is useful and cheap.
It starts with AVR ISP programmer, which had converter system on a chip ARK3116S in the plug. Using this, USBasp was built. Attiny2313 was in the housing. The idea was to adapt the microcontroller to a new programmer – in this case it was well known USBtiny. It is possible to design a board and resign from the terminals for jumpers (this is one pair of HEADERS on PCB shorted with a jumper). One more hole for green diode was made. A plate to cover the USB connector was also made, which was to firmly mount the metal part of USB plug. Values of some elements were changed, basing on USBasp (Zener diodes and resistors on data lines). Quartz and SMD capacitors from an old programmer were applied. LEDs indicating the state were stuck with Distall glue to the top cover of housing, and their ends were connected to the board with short soft wires. Sheet with the description was designed in Corel Draw.
