Satellite Receiver

Hi,
Anybody knows is there a satellite receiver which it's shape isn't like a dish.
especially is there any satellite receiver but flat shaping?
tnx

Re: Satellite Receiver

Do you mean KU band dish. Its shape is almost like flat.

Satellite Receiver

The main idea why satellite dishes are becoming flat is cosmetic mainly. Without forgetting any regulations etc.

verilog_crack you can take any kind of antenna and make it in different form of antenna. This is what we call conformal mapping.

Re: Satellite Receiver

Hi,
So is there any commercial Flat Satellite Receiver?
tnx

Satellite Receiver

verilog_crack maybe! It is going to be even if it is not. I know p-a-t-c-h antenna's were in line to being manifactured in this decade 2000-2010 to replace yagi-udda antenna's.

There are MANY commercial flat antennas integrated with LNBs; usually offered in Europe and Japan. I have seen none in the US.
Try European sales sites, those flat antennas come in shapes like squares, disks, even "masked" like trees.

Any particular reason to activate a 6 years old post? ...other than making points...
