Hi,

Can anyone suggest a good ARM based board that is similar to BeagleBoard or beaglebone.

The plan is that I would like to use these boards as stand-alone controllers for my projects (home automation, industrial control systems etc.). I would like to use a standard OS like Linux or Windows for running these boards. These boards would act as a server running several programs in a client-server fashion.

Is it possible to develop applications for these boards using Visual Studio.net or Delphi ?? or do I need a cross-compiler for this ??

The cost of beaglebone is 89 USD, perhaps a low cost desktop PC could be used instead..

any suggestions ??

thanks
a
