Hello,

I have great knowlege in electronics but I'm quite lousy in rfid experiece...
I'd like to determine the frequency of a control access system and despite of research on this technology I can't determine my system frequency.
Could I determine the frequency by an rfid tag examination (type of antenna...) ?
Please find the tag used enclosed.

If the antenna has many thin wire turns it may be a system working around 125..145 kHz. Many turns are requried to get the antenna coil in resonance with a capacitor. The transmitting antenna (reader antenna) also has many turns.

If the antenna has about 10..20 turns and the transmitting (reader) antenna has one to some turns, it is very likely a 13.56 MHz system.

If the antenna has a single turn turn with some small capacitor in the pF range, it may be a UHF 433 or 868 MHz system.

You may use your oscilloscope with a simple loop to view the waveform in case of MF an HF systems (of course you need access to the reader). It will also work for UHF, but then you need a more expensive oscilloscope. Other option is to use a scanning receiver or spectrum analyser and check the popular RFID frequency bands.
 

Sounds like you don't have access to the reader. In this case, you can use a grid-dipper and try to indentify a tag resonance frequency.
