hi,
i want to create a padstack for TH connector.
the connector footprint says 40mils dia. but the actual pin is 25mils.
so my doubt is if this 40mils is the actual drill to be made on the board?
please help

Is the pin square or round, a square pin that is 25mils (0.635mm) has a diagonal of 35mils (0.9mm).
What is the connector?

it is circular pad. the connector is a header

I said what shape is the pin of the header that is going into the hole, not the pad shape!

Hi goal,

We have different types of component pin lead. example round type and square type i think your connector pin type is square, In the option you need to choose 40mil drill size. during square pin type component foot print creation we neee to consider digonal distance.
