Hi,

I have some MC145158 PLL and would like to use in a 2m band radio trasnceiver or programm RX and TX frequencies using a PIC or AVR and LCD readout to do so. Here in Brazil channel step is 10kHz and range is from 144,000MHz to 148,000MHz. Of course with -600kHz and +600kHz offset switch for repeater operation. I guess this will be very usefull so this PLL was used in several old Motorola analog celular phone and must be very easy to get.

Hi,Fernando, I´m working in a PLL Exciter using PIC and MC145158. It´s isn´t done yet, but when I got finished I can give you the schems and a modification for your porposes. But I got curious about the other MC145158 chips you mentioned. Are them for sale? I´m afraid I´ll more of them later... I´m from Brazil - MS...
 
Ola Dantas26, ok I have no idea where to get more of this PLLs, they were saved from old Motorola cell phone(tijolão). I'll try to find some, then I'll send to you.

Freescale no longer manufactures this particular PLL, however they are still available from several legacy part houses:

MC145158

MC145158-2FN

You may want to contact Freescale and inquire about a currently manufactured substitute.
