I am looking for a very basic circuit that will delay a 1.5 volt motor from turning on after being energized. Must be very light weight no 9 voly batteries. 3volts at most. This elimnates all relays.
Will just a simple 3volt RC circuit do the trick?

Thanks
Richard Reichardt

Re: very simple time dealay

You can use a transistor in series with the motor and put a RC circuit on the base. Or you can use a cmos 555 timer in the one shot (monostable) mode and an AND gate which will drive the transistor base.

Listen Streetcar ... You want a Delay?.. you don't even bother to mention THE TIMEEEEEEEEEE !... do you need 1 ps or two hours ??

Re: very simple time dealay

I am sorry I failed to mention that the delay be around 20 to 30 seconds.
It either can be random or constent.

thanks again
