I am facing a problem in simulating the gate driver ic ir2117 with a buck-boost converter in orcad pspice. I have tested the buck-boost with a pulsed source and it is working fine but when i use ir2117 to drive the gate, the current through the nmos becomes too high and spiky and the output voltage falls drastically.
I included a high value resistor with the Vs pin because it was drawing too much current. Also, the ir2117 block is working fine separately when i tested it with the same transistor and a dc source and resistance as a load.
relevant portion of the schematic is attached. please assist
