hi everyone....my final year project is about statistical analysis for dna sequence alignment....i have to find the e-value....the e-value formula is like below....but seems that i can't understand about it....can anyone help to explain about it for me......i need to write it in verilog.....

The formula has only straight multiplications and subtraction in it. So where are you struck?

I suggest you learn some verilog basics first. Then you will know that its not something difficult.

I suspect that "E = Kmne-λx" is meant as "E = K*m*n*exp(-λ*x)", which now also somewhat fits with the title of the post...

So I suspect that he basically is asking for a verilog implementation of the exp power function...
