I've got a toshiba T2130cs Laptop and my battery is toast along with all of the component inside the battery so I threw it away.
I want to build a new one so I bought 10 Ni-MH 1.2 V 1800 mAh battery's and I dont know what other components are needed to build it cuz it doesnt work. Please help me out! On my laptop there are 5 pins for the battery.
Please help me! I dont want to buy one cuz is quite expensive and I dont trust those sites who sells them!

Besides power pins of the accu., the other contacts from that 5 pin connector are wired to charging control circuit. Usually, all batteries have memories inside (communication on 1 wire usually) which keeps data regarding serial number, type and maybe manufacturer of the accu. Another pin is connected to a thermistor. So, if you threwed away the circuits inside, too bad. You can't make the accu work without them. The computer search for that memory inside accu, and if it can't find valid content in it, it will not activate the connections from accu. It will simply ignore it. Keep the circuits and replace only the NI-MH elements.

And whats the fun in that?? Just by buying a battery on the internet won't make you learn electronics!
And by the way, I already bought those battery especially for this! This model of laptop was very popular and I know that someone must have some schematics of the battery and he(she) won't share it!

I trust the store to do the right thing but what's to say the reseller doesn't just say "yeah we can recycle that for you" and it ends up going straight into the trash... :)
