Hello,

For the background, I will be having a 15" digital photo frame inside a sealed display stand at a show and unfortunately will not have mains access or the ability to change batteries during the day.

there is also very limited space inside the stand.

what would be the best way to keep it powered for 9 or so hours straight?

Thanks in advance

you can go for Low Voltage Differential System Interface. also try with Li-Po Battery. it can power up your display for the whole day. hope this solution may solve your problem.

Thanks for the quick reply!

could you elaborate a little on the Low Voltage Differential System Interface, I'm not getting an exact hit for that phrase via Google and my previous electronics experience is akin to making LED's act like the knight rider car.

How much power (Voltage and Amperage) do you need?

I'm not 100% sure, we have a 12 inch frame in the office that's running off a 9v ac adapter, we haven't ordered the 15" as of yet.

have looked at a few on amazon and they seem to only list "Input voltage: AC 100-240V (50-60 Hz)"

Embedsys, I don't think LVDS applies to this situation as it's a signal transmission method and this is a power supply issue. A digital photo frame has it's signal source and path integrated into the display housing and the whole system is powered from the same source.

Bobdylonxxx, if you're shopping, try to make sure your selection will operate from a 12VDC source. This way you can use a sealed lead acid battery (SLA) (cheapest) or (Lithium Ion Polymer battery (LiPo) (expensive but compact).

designed DVI interface instead of LVDS. thank you all for the given solutions
