Hello guys ,

I'm working on a tubular bandpass filter .
However it doens't seems that easy to find the right information about how to design such a filter .

I would like to build the bandpass filter mechanically with high Z and low Z coaxial stubs (stepped impedance) .

I succeed in the lowpass design but the bandpass is something else .

Who can help me providing some thoughts and ideas in how to design such a filter ?

Thanks in advance.

Best regards,
Kenny

Just recently I found that Nuhertz filter software can do tubular filters. Maybe you can download a demo and take a look.

Hi Vfone ,

Like with Ansoft you can model tubular filters as well .
The only thing I can't find is how to convert lumped elements to high/low Z coaxial components .
