Hai,

I am using VNA for measuring the capacitance of varactor diode. To bias the Varactor diode we need DC source.

I Measured the resistance btw the center pin and gnd of the port . The impedence was much higher than 50 ohms. Also there was a label below the ports
28d dbm 30 VDC Max.

1)Does these thing mean that my VNA has an inbuilt bias tee and it can tolerate a DC offset of 30 volts?

2) Do i need a separate bias tee to block the dc flow into VNA? Do all the VNA have an inbuilt bias tee?

Thanks

i have the familiar question to know about this..i have problem dealing with DC bias tht connected to varactor diode..
hope can get the proper connection between the varactor and DC biasing cct(connect to ground and etc.)

Hai,
Can u elobrate ur question .I dont get u.

thanks for ur reply..i need to know the connection between VNA, power supply and microstrip(included bias cct)..especially which port supposely connected to power supply(plus, minus, ground etc.)..much better if can get proper schematic...thanks in advance
