hello everybody ,

i want to run Monte carlo simulation manually
so what i mean is just use the simulator for generating the random parameters value , and i will run the simulation myself
can somebody tell me if it's possible
many thanks in advance

Yes, I think so. If you can use the Affirma Analog Statistical Analysis:
Create_Input_Files.png
... instead of clicking Run, just click Create Input Files. Then you should be able to change the input files as you like, then run them. Or use the OCEAN concept.

The above picture is slide 15 from a C@dence Monte Carlo simulation tutorial (PPT format). I tried to upload it, but even in zipped format (2.4MB) the new EDAboard setup wouldn't allow its upload, sorry!

Hi erikl, thank for your answer , sorry because actuallly i didnt explain myself clearly , my problem is that , okay, monte carlo executes a large number of runs let say 10000, for each one of those runs it generate randomly a set of model parameters values (according to some distribution). and run a simulation , and then generate a new set of model parameters and run again the simulation and so on till it reaches 10000.
so my problem is to know if it'spossible to retrieve the values the simulator picked for each run.

If you have access to MATLAB, you can input the required distribution and have MATLAB generate the values for you.
The simulator does the same thing MATLAB does, basiclly.

Hi eladla,
thank you for your suggestion , yes indeed it will solve my problem, there is also another solution, each set of parameters picked by the mc simulator has an identifier which is the seed number, so i can use a specific set by specifing its seed #
