hfss help me :(

I have a 3D structure in LiNbO3. An antenna is positioned on the structure. I want to display a cut of the electric field on a plane trasverse the structure.

Re: hfss help me :(

if in the hfss system, you can define a cut plane before the simulation, after you finish the simulation, then display the electromagnetic distributated field in this cut plane

Re: hfss help me :(

I think you can do it after the simulation, too. Create a plane at the position you want it and plot the E-field on this plane.

Re: hfss help me :(

You'll need to set up an 'infinite sphere' for far or near field under radiation. The 3d plot is pretty easy to get as a report but have a look at the coordinate sys on the 3d plot - the phi and theta are reversed. Something to keep in mind when you want a specific cut.
