hi friends

how to find/measure the delay of any gate ( say nand gate or Full adder) using cadence tools (using calculator )

thanks and regds

delay of any circuit

Hi harishl003
I'd use the square wave function as input to the gate and then observe periodic output wave. Delay can be calculated using cross function of calculator for input and output signals. Subtract the results from each other - you get the delay between threshold crossings.

From here load 1.rar , expand it, and in the directory "1" run the Tutorial 2.htm file. Herein search for FO4 Inverter Delay Simulation.
