hello everybody. i am first time in constructing a line follower robot. i am now working with the motor driver. i'll be using PIC16F877A. now my problem, goes this way: i have two dc motors, when i biased it with 5V, it has more or less 1A in no load situation. my problem now is how to design a driver knowing that my motor has high current.

you can design simple frame and for your robot and use weight near your robot and connect the battery with motor without control and measure current
