Hi all,
In our data acquisition system we get some non-zero data for the system without connecting the input. I think this noise will add to the actual signal levels. How can I segregate the signal alone from this system noise.

Thanks in advance.

Basically, you can't remove uncorrelated noise. Depending on the signal properties, you can at best reduce the noise amount.

However, if your data acquisition system has high input impedance, the noise can be present because you didn't connect the
input (left it floating). You may want to short it for test.

hey i didnt get u ,, i didnt left the mic input floating..plz explain some practical solution?
