Hi guys

So i am looking for a solution to a seemingly simple problem. I have two DC motor boards and two DC motor brakes. I am using a microcontroller to tell the DC motors to step when i want to. The problem is, my microcontroller sends out a HIGH 3.3V signal to step the motor. I want to be able to cut the power when i'm not using the motor.

Anyone know a chip that acts as a switch, rated at 12V, but can be turned on and off with a control signal of 3.3V? I can't find anything in spec!!

Depending on the current rating, you can use a relay, P-channel mosfet, Power pnp BJT or DC-Solid-State relay ..

How many a.m.p.s do you need to switch?

we're talking about 1.6 amps... maybe high power transistors. Do you know of an IC that does something like that or is it too high power rated?

hi you can use bjt transistore take signal from controller and switch on mosfet transistore its can be more than 12 volt and 4 amp as
bjt no :c945
mosfet :buz71a
