need help for SPI communication.

Hi all,

I'm new to FPGA and verilog. I have the Xilinx startes kit and I want to communicate from FPGA to DAC section. DAC needs SPI proto. to get initiated. Please let me know how to do that. I have user guide from xilinx and in that it has got good details about the protocol, timing dia. everything.Bu t I'm not able to implement in code. its a 32 bit DAC and I am able to send only one bit out of 32. The shifting of 32 bit buffer happens only once. I need it to shift 32 times how to make it.

Maybe you could show us the sample code for which you got the result!, maybe that could help identify where the problem exists!
 

Its hard to say the best way to do this without knowing more about your system design. If you are going to have a microblaze in the system, it is probably easiest to just put in the xlinx spi core and communicate with the device that way.
