Hi,I hav to use current transformer to get current waveform of the 220 volt (2 wire system) load circuit.Actually i want to make Power factor measurement project on industrial level.I never use current transformer ever before so need urgent help for:
1)what things should I consider in choosing current transformer
2)of what rating it should be
3)what r the rating parameters of Current transformer (turn ratio and wat else)
4)What type of current transformer would be best(either split core or solid core etc) actually i have to detect zero crossing of AC load current so i strongly need precise and accurate waveform of current flowing in actual load circuit.
5)i have to detect the zero crossing of current waveform so which type of circuit should I connect to the secondary side of current transformer(any burden resistor or any thing else)
6)How to deal with noise(any filter circuit would b needed or not)
7)How to avoid open ckt condition on secondary side(that would be dangerous or not)
I strongly need sincere opinions and guidance...
thanx
