Re: anyone knows TCAD trend

hello, i want to start with TCAD. currently a teacher of solid state devices modeling. provide the resources for me to get in to TCAD simulation.

I would say that TCAD is going to be more and more important in the future but it is a very special tool and very expensive to own. Students get it cheap but corporation pay a lot for each license.

Each company will have a small group of people that can do TCAD. It usually is in the technology development organization. I believe the number of job openings for this type of person will be limited compared to general circuit designers.

If you are looking at as a career, remember device physics is always going to be important.

Look at nanoelectronics, solar cells. All are fundamentally impacted by better device physics and material science folks
