Hi,
I'm looking for service manuals or at least any info that can be provided to allow safe battery changes on the following models of UPS units (I work in computer repair and the company have recently made 2 of my colleagues redundant - the only 2 who've worked on USP units and now they're trying to get me to work on them without manuals or training and I don't know how long I can keep refusing to touch them).
VIctron Netpro 1000, 1500 and 2000
Chloride Cool Power 1200
Chloride Desk Power 1500 (unless this one has user replaceable batteries like the 500 I've also been asked to work on).
I'll also welcome any comments that can be used to provide the company with good reason to forget it and outsource the repairs to someone more qualified (I have no problem repairing Laser Printers, CRT and LCD monitors, etc but they can be switched off for repair) as the voltages and currents inside these UPS units make me more than a little scared, not helped by having seen my trained ex-colleagues have units go up in smoke in the past.
Thanks,
Nigel
