merge gdsii calibre

Hi,

I have a problem using Calibre for DRC. I'm using encounter followed
by virtuoso to stream out the physical gds. However, when I use
calibre for DRC I obtain the following error:

ERROR: Cell VIA2_C$$168816684 is referenced but not defined.

*** Calibre finished with Exit Code: 4 ***

How should I solve this problem?

Thank you.

Because the source file doesn't contain the definition of Cell VIA2_C$$168816684.
I think you should check the source file again, maybe it missing some subcricuits.

see what does this via connect, then delete it and make another one on your own...

As you are using Encounter, you can merge the GDS when you export the finished GDS after P&R. There is no need to use Virtuoso to merge GDS. But if there were DRC or LVS errors, you would import and edit the GDS to fix them.

How do I use encounter to merge the gds?
