t290i interface cable diagram

Dears... i have some prblms in interfacing UContoller with mobile....

i tested my mobile at hyperterminal..it is ok....

but now i dont know the connectivity of mobile with microcontroller... in between of them serial port (DB9) connector and MAX232 will b used....

plZ tell me what connections should i make At DB9 connector between mobile and controller???

Helllo deARsss...

any reply plZZ??

t290i interfacing

Check Max232 datasheet

interfacing of mobile with 89s52

Dear MAK1, thanks 4 rply... i checked MAX datasheet.. i dun have prb about MAX.

i have prb in connections between serial DB9 connector and MAX to mobile....

which pin of DB9 should b used for which purpose here?

how to connect t290i with pc?

Hi,
You will need a DB9 male connector if you are to connect the RS232 cable which you used to connect the mobile to the PC. In this case, the microcontroller should provide a serial output matching with the signals provided by the PC.

For this purpose, you connect the following pins of a male DB9 connector to the microcontroller serial port pins routed through a MAX232 as follows:

1. TX to pin 3 of DB9

2. RX to pin 2

3. Ground to pin 5

4. Connect ground to second TX gate of MAX232 and connect its output to pin 4(DTR) and pin 7 (RTS) of DB9.

The 4th connection is required only if the mobile serial interface cable draws power from the serial cable. Do you have the mobile interface cable diagram? If MAX 232 fails to supply this power, you have to connect a current limitted 10 to 12 V source to pins DTR/RTS.

Set the port parameters (baud rate, bits/ chr, parity and stop bit length) same as those used in PC when mobile was connected to PC.

Regards,
Laktronics
