Hi !
I’m trying to simulate a folded slot antenna in HFSS. However, I found that the Z parameters response, strongly depend on the size of the substrate in the X and Y direction. Of course I kept the thickness of the substrate constant and the air box radiation is lambda/4 high. Please, could anybody suggest me how can I determine the correct size of the substrate in X or Y direction?.
I used waveport (using a CPW with de-embedding) and lumped port excitations in the simulations, but I obtained similar results.
I attached the figure of the simulation using lumped port. The width of the lumped port is the same as the signal line in the CPW when I used the CPW and waveport.
Thanks a lot.
