ds1307 with twi 8051

Hi all,

i would like to 2 i2c devices (slaves), ds1307 real time clock and eeprom 24c256 with 8051 (master).

can both slaves share the same SCL and SDA pin, which means that using only 2 pins to interface two slaves rather than separately (4 pins)??

both devices will share sda and scl pin but you will have to provide two different port pins for address line of each i2c device.

Hi,
Both can share the same I2C bus, address is embedded in the communication frame, so no need for separate port pins. Please also refer for a similar project.
