synopsys site id

Hai there,

first, does anyone have the release notes (which are on solvnet) of Design Compiler ?
I don't have an account there. If you do could you please upload it here.

I would like to know how to track those changes between different versions of DC, so as I could cope different enhancement brought forward by DC with respect to all the new tiny -arguments.
Or at least how do you track those down ?

siteid synopsys license file

if you have design compiler installed in ur unix machine, try "where dc_shell" command to find out the installation directory, in that location, you'll find the release notes for that particular version of DC.

Changes from the previous version of DC to the current version will be listed in the release notes.

Also, i suggest that you create your own solvnet account. to create that, you'll need a site ID. If you have any synopsys tool installed, you can find your site id in the following way.

"
If you do not know your Site ID, obtain your Site ID in one of the following ways:

* View the site_info file in your tool tree ($SYNOPSYS/admin/license/site_info).
The SiteID field identifies your Site ID.

Look at an old Synopsys key file. Near the top, you will find your Site ID.
# SYNOPSYS INC. KEY CERTIFICATE
# Site Id: xxxx [where xxxx is a number]
"

this information is listed in the synopsys site itself. After obtaining the site id, it should be a cinch to get your solvnet account.

cheers!!
