Hello everyone,

I hope everyone is fine. I'm having a problem in exporting my PCB to spectrra. When I try to open the DSN file in spectrra, it flashes and quits. What could be wrong???

Thanks in advance

Regards

Do you have a board outline defined on the keepout layer?
Are you using an old version of Specctra with a newer version of Protel?
Have you set up reasonable design rules?
Are you sure your Specctra license is OK?

Hello House cat,

>>Do you have a board outline defined on the keepout layer?
yes i have a keepout track on the keepout layer.

>>Are you using an old version of Specctra with a newer version of P*otel?
I'm using Specctra 9.0 and Protel 2004 (protel DXP)

>>Have you set up reasonable design rules?
yes, like track width, via size etc, etc ,,

>>Are you sure your Specctra license is OK?
The License is ok, because it is able to open its own dsn example files.

My pcb has12-layers, when I export it to Specctra does that also gets along with it??? actually this is my first multilayer design , thanks
