Need help with 7 digit LED display pins description

hello
i have a 7digit (seven segment) led display where can i find its pin description it has 28 pins and only 039h is written on its back side it also has 4 leds down to digits.should i check it by giving it voltage supply?

but the one i have is itself a seven segment 7digit display module and not the ic

How many digits do u have.........is it seven or four

7 digit led display

Sounds like a custom display from something. The cheap and cheerful way to test LEDs is a simple 1.5V battery and mapping out what segment lights with which pin.

Many possible combinations, good luck and lots of patience needed :)

Can you make a picture of it?

Or if it's coming out of something, like blueroomelectronics suggested, can't you figure something out using the original PCB?

Hi Zohaib,
make a picture of your 7 segment display and share it, maybe I can help you with pin descript,

7 digit led display

use 5V with a 470 ohm resistor in series, touch each pair of pin and you can found out the segment to pin relation easily.
