Hi Friends,

I want to develop a VGA controller that will take the text data directly from the keyboard and display it on the LCD or CRT monitor.

As we have to give the image pixels along with Hs and Vs, how do we create the pixels from the text data??

Please give your Ideas....

Thanks.

Which MCU or processor do you use ?

there are several VGA controller chips,,,but its possilbe to implement the process by your own I see a alot of people did it .

In order to convert character to pixel u must creat a bitmap for each character and then transfer the bitmap data from processor to VGA unit .its the main idea I think .

It may use a large amount of memory but it depends on your resolution ,Font size and number of the characters ...

anyway hope u do that .
