I have a CMOS rail to rail amplifier in unity gain buffer mode. I want to make the output in tristate whenever power loss occurs.. i.e. whenever supply loss or ground loss happens, i have to make the output of this amplifier to go to tristate...Can anyone has some experience in this.. any help will be useful..

powerloss circuit.

can a circuit not consume the power? i am confused about what u said.

Re: powerloss circuit.

Can't you use a open collector Op-Amp? what is the op-Amp you are using ?
If you elaborate your circuit a little more maybe we could give you some ideas which may be easier than making a tristate-able Op-Amp. IMHO , If you are dealing with precision analog signals it wouldn't be easy to have a tristate-able.
why don't you turn your Op-Amps supply off if you are about to lower the power consumption ?
