I purchased an optotriac (MagnaCraft 70S2-04-B-06-N) to activate a time-off delay relay (Macromatic TR-60622) but I cannot get the triac to turn off after control voltage has been removed.

From what I've read, it is most likely related to commutating dV/dt. Some have suggested an RC snubber, but I have no idea how to choose the right sized Capacitor and Resistor.

Specs of the triac:
Current Rating: 6 A
Switching voltage: 24...140 AC
Switching type: Zero Cross
Max Rate of Rise Off State Voltage (dv/dt): 300 V/us
Min Load current to maintain on: 75 mA
Non-repetitive surge current: 60 A
Max off state leakage current (rms): 6 mA
Typical On State Voltage Drop (rms): 1.6 AC
Minimum Peak Blocking Voltage: 400 AC

Specs of the time-delay relay:
Coil load 2VA @ 120VAC

hi,
This clip shows a typical snubber circuit with values.
