Hello !

I am designing PCML bandpass filter for six different frequency band using ADS.

while using Linecalc, i have used 90 degree as value of e_eff for that i got some value of W,S &L .

In my design size of filter is concerned.

can i use 30 or 45 degree as value of e_eff as i have noticed decreasing the value of e_eff , the physical length will be decrease ?

can anyone explain what is significance of Electrical length ?

Thanks & Regards
Deep Gokani

The significance of electrical length is quite simple. Transmission line resonators have usually 180 degree (λ/2, open-open) or 90 degree (λ/4, open-short) length.
