Hi,

I have realized a sine wave generator with a DDS IC. Now I want to characterize my output signal, with a spectrum analyzer.

But what is the best way to rate my output signal, by means of its pureness? THD? SFDR?
Also, is there some kind of threshold value, stated in the literature, which says, that's a clean single tone?

Hi,

has no one a suggestion or experience how to rate my sine wave? Or is there no "right" method?

Hi,

THD, noise, amplitude(stability), phase noise / frequency stability...
