Hi,

I have the following query on antenna design for space application

Is it better to have a threaded Feed antenna (for a monopole or a helical antenna) or a soldered feed?

The antenna would be exposed to high temperature variations in vacuum environments. So then, would it be better to have threading on the Feed as this may not have dissimilar metal expansion problems (solder as compared to aluminium) or it would be better to have threading.

This impacts my connector selection.
