Hello Guys,

I want to use Slot antenna for an application. i am facing some issues. I will be thankful if i can get useful feedback from you guys before actully send design to manufacturers.

1- antenna was cut from the ground plane on one side of FR-4 sub and another side is feeding network. What kind of SMA connector i should use. If i place it on ground plane side it will effect the antenna performance? Should it be Surface mounted to attach with feeding network directly?

2- Frequency of operation is 2.4 GHz. Are slot antennas any useful for practical wireless application. If not what are the drawbacks? is there any method to improve them?

3- What are the cheap tranceivers available at this 2.4 GHz frequency?

Best Regards,
Rizwan
