The main issue is the leakage.
 

There are lots of critical issues that troubled in this technology.
i.e Metal Resistance metal width are getting smaller this will be accompanied by increase in resistivity.

Scaling problem with the VIAs and CONTACT's also the resistance accompanied by them will become higher, plus the mask preparation will become longer to process.
