orcad studio

I wonder why we have to select the simulator every time we run the simulation in OrCAD10, it waste us a lot of mouse clicking. I also have found the model editor has some bugs. I can't generate my own model library while it is no problem to create in PSD. It show some features are not in some .dll file, I can't remember the exact. It may also contains the other bugs I don't know now. So I'm considering to switch back to PSD15.

orcad pspice studio suite selection

I have the similar problem. I wonder if this is the result that during installation I chosen to much option to install

orcad studil suite selection

Hi,
I think it is a result of multiple option selection. It is possible to edit files
o\r\c\a\d\f\n\c.cfg and o\r\c\a\d.lic to avoid it.

the pspicead is not licensed at this site

I have the solution for the problem related to the Unison suite.

I have modified the file license.dat deleting all the lines related
to the various suite.
Besides the initial lines related to the name of the computer I have
exclusively left the definitions related to:

- CaptureCIS
- PSpiceAD
- PSpiceAA
- optimizer
- LayoutpPlus
- Specctra_6U

I have deleted all the other definitions (also comment line with #)!!!

During the installation I have selected only:

- PO1110 (CaptureCIS)
- PO1320 (PSpiceAD)
- PO1330 (PSpiceAA)
- PO1340 (optimizer)
- PO1420 (LayoutPlus)
- PO1600 (Specctra_6U)

In this way when I run Capure doesn't appear the messagebox of selection suite.
Also playing PSpice the double messagebox doesn't also appear.
All is simple and direct!
I have installed into a computer without orcad.
I think that disinstalling previous installations is important.

orcad suite options

u r using multiple licence hence u r getting this option. modify ur lic this will solve the problem

po1320 + pspice

OK, time to stop this now.

After a quick call to Cadence Tech Support it seems you guys could be using an illegal license with multiple suites enabled which is NOT normal for node locked license.

I cannot be sure you are discussing a pirate license or not, but it is possible, so Ill lock the topic and leave it at that for now.

Remeber if Cadnec asks Gulson about you he will have to pass Cadence your emails & IPs so they can follow it up.

If you have ANY PROBLEMS about this Cadence will fix it, you should call Cadence support.
