I have a netlist generated by dc, I can read this netlist back into dc ok, but not pt.

when I ask it for the current design it comes back with the first design that's listed in the netlist. When setting current_design to "top" it comes back with an error, "top" doesn't exist. All models load correctly (same file that is used for dc which loads this netlist just fine). Tried many revisions of pt, same results. There is no Error in the log file, however there are warnings stating that various designs are not used, but I do see that they are instantiated in the netlist.

Any ideas?

Can you show the value of link_library variable in PT? It should be like "* lib1.db lib2.db". The symbol '*' must present.

If you are using a hierarchical netlist , ,you need to use -increment or -path to read them.

Thank you VERY MUCH! The * was not present in the dc_setup file. The link_lin without the * works ok for DC, but not PT.

Thanks again
