Hi collegues,

what is the difference between RTL schematic and Technology schematic.

regards!

hi
RTL schematic refers to the logic u implemented, means it is having all gates and components u mentioned...........

Technology schematic means the equivalent blocks to u r logic in the library,..,,,,,,,

after clicking on the technology schematic u will have LUT (Look up table) all those are well defined in the library......
after dumping the program into the FPGA kit, all these elements in the technology schematic will be placed and routed..............

hope u r doubt is clear

thank u for these explanations,

if I have understand the RTL is the image of a design independantly of the FPGA circuit, and the technology schematic is the image of the design within the FPGA right!

regards

Thats it.

The RTL schematic can be FPGA independent. It is also much nicer to look at!
