hi
my final project at university is designing a fct device.
i dont wanna use a gsm module. i think it will be more ideal to use a phone that supports at commands. the device should support pstn and gsm at the same time. you know, when i dial a gsm number the device must recognize it and activate the gsm connection..anyway my first step should be the establishing connection between pic and gsm phone. ive read some topics about at commands. nokia phones are using fbus&mbus standart, and siemens is using asynchronous serial communication. some people say that using a siemens is easier than nokia for pic.

first question?
as i understood, a pic includes uart module can easily communicate with a siemens phone via at commands. should i continue with a siemens phone? and which model can you recommend? c25 s25 or anotherone? or what does depend on the model for this operation ?

second question?
for eg i will send an at command that commands "call number xxx".. and than can i use the earphone socket for audio or should i get the audio from rx pin on the phone? for me it is ok getting audio from earphone.

thanks

2> this will work but AT command to for diailing can read from this article.

The phone used there is Ericsson's T10s but same AT commands should work for others

I think that it would be easier to continue with siemens rather than with erricson or nokia.

Jerin. :)
