I am asked to design my own powersupplies of voltages 15/-15V and variable one 0-5V .The onput to these are 230V AC.How can I start this project.what are the concerns that I should hav while designing?how can I design this ?Pls help me.

following parameters are to be considered.

-input voltage variation
-output regulation
--linear or switched

if linear, design will be simple but efficiency will be low.
for a bench power supply these things are minimum .

national /texas and many others have published app notes on this .

one that you can refer for initial idea is:

http://www.fer.hr/_download/repository/Linear___Switching_Voltage_Regulator_Handbook_(ON_Semiconductor).pdf

you have just clicked the link.

since it is very long , at the end there is 'ON_semiconductor.pdf' which may not be passed on.

copy the entire line to a page and then get .
