I need circuit to test 16f877 if it's Woking or Damaged using LEDs

Does the chip detected by the programmer?
Is it possible to write or read the chip?

If yes, mostly the chip is alive

Nandhu

Yes the chip detected by the programmer But I think that one port ( A - B - .. ) doesn't work because the circuit output is Not correct
so how can I test all pins of the chip

If its recognised by the programmer and you can program into it, then you need to set up a simple series of tests to check all the ports.

Write some simple code to test the ports as inputs from a switch and then as output to turn on a led.

If they all work ok their higher functions can also be tested like adc, pwm, usart, comaprator, external interrupts, oscillators, spi, i2c etc.

Me - I would just sling it and buy a new one - they are so cheap it not worth spending money and time on a test jig - unless you are talking about a large batch of chips.

Also the chip might be partially damaged and not show any problems on your tests but back in circuit it will probably fail sooner or later.

Thaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaanks for your replay ... i'll But New one But the seller man is soooo Far from My house
Thank's for All

I have a doubt :
Did you configure the ports as output ?

Nice ,,, can Any One desigen This Circuit with proteus And What is the Code for this circuit ... Sorry I'm beginner in Microcontroller

so ?????????????????????????

You don't need to test a part with a simulator, it'll always work.
Why do you want this? Is it a homework assignment?

Your sure that the port A is damager right ?

Probably your program code is little wrond, search google for a new and working for sure one.

Program code is .hex file you need to use programmer to burn this progam to chip.

NB ! leds are like diods, they work only one way, they do pass current in only one way. So if your program code is LED ON not ON OFF type then it may be case.

Also, if your using high frequancy osccilator you need very stable 5V suppy voltage.

Added after 2 minutes:

Btw. pic 16f877 is a MCU not PLc so it works only mx 5V supply voltage.

If you connected pins to ground and 15V power supply, then you need to find this so far away salesman, and buy a new pic.

Good luck! I hope that you will get what you want.

Thaaaaaaaaaaanks ... your subject really useful for me ... I tried to performe this project

But the led matrix doesn't display alphabetic Letters .. the led matrix illuminate any led randomly So I think that 877 is correpted
