vcvs cadence

Hello,
I want to use an Ideal opamp model, for that I selected the VCVS component from the library and used it. To simulate the output clipping I set the maximum and minimum allowed voltages for the VCVS as 1.78 and 0.02 as shown in the image attached alongside.
The problem is when I simulate this using Spectre I do not get the clipping at 1.78 and 0.02 volts !! What am I doing wrong? How do I emulate an opamp with output clipping??? I have attached the output graph also as given by the simulation result.

I have tried and found the same problem. My solution is adding a veriloga view to the vcvs cell.

I need an ideal Op Amp model. I have used vcvs but the same problem occurs. Have you found the origin of the error?

Well, currently it seems to work fine. I am working on a different Cadence from the time I had started this post. Sorry I don't know what was wrong then, I was never able to resolve that.

Hi guys,

I have the same problem. How did you resolved the issue?
