what is impedence

Hi all,

What is meant by impedence matching?

Is there a way to model CAT5e cable using resistors and capacitors?

As i what to simulate the cable length of any mtrs using this modeled hardware \
by just changing the resistors.

Thanks in advance

actually when load transfers from high resistance circuit to less resistance circuit it is reflective back into that circuit

and when this load transfers from low resistance circuit to high resistance circuit it may not reach the destination node as power will be absorbed by the high resistance circuit

in order to accurately transfer the power the impedence of both ciruit should be matched so tha power flows smoothly between the circuits
