hi,

given the referency input: frequency - 10MHz , Power level = -10dBm

Output signals : Frequency : 8-ports L-band Output, 1320MHz (132. fo) and
8-ports S-band output 2640MHz (264.fo),
power level -10dBm for both the bands
Stability : should be locked to the stability of the input reference source, through PLL(phase locked loop).

how can i start this? and have any material on this?
help me

thanking in advance

Are the 1320 and 2640 fixed frequencies? If so, then it's probably easiest to devise a fixed 2640MHz PLL (integer N, N=264, no reference divider) and an optional divide by 2 to generate 1320MHz.

There are many good books about PLL design (e.g. generic from Gardner, but also dedicated to monolithic PLL design; a search on Amazon should point the way)

hi,

Thank you

yes it is fixed, bcz in specifications they have specified

Frequencies : 8-ports L-band Ouput 1320MHz (132.fo)
8-ports S-band ouput 2640MHz (264.fo)
Power levels: L-band: -10dBm ± 3dB
S-band: -10dBm ± 3dB
Stability : Should be locked to the stability of the input reference source, through PLL.

i will read Gerdner book.... if you have some pl. forward it to me.....

thank you

Hi,

Do check the attached file. It provides clarity about PLL basics. Hope it would be useful.

Although an old presentation on the above paper only but this provides more clear picture.

DO NOT FORGET to refer to the references given at the end, with the usefulness of each.

Regards
