How to do the test of DAC?

I need to test a 10b,160M DAC, Can anyone tell me what instrument should I need and how to do the test? Thank you very much!!
 

just use an o-scope, anything over 1GSpS should work just fine

thank you for your help, but can you give me any detail imformation?
 

how is the dac controled are you controling it if so how are you controling it, is anything currently coming out of the DAC?

if something is just hook up the o-scope signal side to the output of the dac and put the o-scope ground to any signal ground on your board.

hi b4bb4ge,

the it's a current steering DAC. currents come from the output and connect to a resistor to generate voltage.
