what is the difference between PIC 18F452 and 16F877?

AOA and hi to all


i wanted to know what are the differences between PIC 18F452 and 16F877?
what advantages i get if i use 18F452
what thing i will compromise if i use 16F877

plz tell me as i m new to PIC

Main differences:

16F877(A) is a 14 bit core PIC, with only 35 instructions.
18F452 is a 16 bit core PIC, with 75 instructions.
Note that both are 8 bit microcontrollers.

16F877(A) runs at 20MHz maximum clock
18F452 can run at 40MHz maximum clock

16F series have paged memory
18F series don´t.
